Sambalpur: Students riot again in Sambalpur University, Students demands dean’s dismissal : burnt kitchen, surviving childrens

Burla: There is again student unrest at Sambalpur University. Students of University-affiliated SUIIT College commit mental torture against the student welfare Dean and sat in front of the university administrative building for four hours with allegations of abuse of power. According to the students, the Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Rashmikant Pati is using his power to torture them without reason and is putting mental pressure on them. The students complained that under such pressure, there is no telling who will attempt suicide. So the agitating students stubborn to expel Dr. Rashmikant Pati from the SUIIT immediately. The director of the SUIIT, Professor Basant Mohanty, came to the venue and explained to the students, but he insisted that he would not give up on the idea until the chancellor came. In the end, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sanjukta Das, and the Chancellor, Dr. Nruparaj Sahu came to the spot and interacted with the students. After the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Das promised that a decision would be taken after discussing their demands tomorrow, then the students gave up on the idea.
