Sambalpur: Swaviman Sambalpur organization celebrated New Year in a unique style at Hatibari Leprosy ashram
Sambalpur: Like the last 8 years, this year too the voluntary organization Swaviman, Sambalpur has celebrated the new year with the Hatibari Leprosy ashram inmates in a unique style. During the New Year, some went to tourist spots and some had fun eating and drinking, the members of the volunteer organization Swaviman, Sambalpur, organized various programs to put a smile on the faces of the inmates of Leprosy ashram, which is located far away from the mainstream of the society. Contributed by Guru Trilochan Tripathi, inmates enjoyed the songs of singers Dilip Bagh, Rajkumar Jal, Pooja Munda, and Kalicharan. Many of the inmates danced to the tune of many new and old Sambalpuri songs. After the music program, hundreds of inmates were given new clothes, and delicious food was served.
Entrepreneur Shila Shiva Prasad joined the program as the chief guest and praised the program of Swaviman Sambalpur, saying that one gets happiness from serving the neglected and underprivileged sections of society. Under the leadership of the organization’s president Sanjeev Kansari and secretary Sishir Bohidar, deputy secretary Shovan Pattnayak also spoke at the meeting. Devant Behera gave the vote of thanks at the end.
