Sambalpur: The Boundary wall will be built on 79 acres of land at Vimsar Burla
Burla: The 79 acres of land acquired by the government for Vimsar was identified in July last year. The boundaries of this vast land near Central School-II were demarcated. The process of building a wall around this land has started. It has been informed that the public contractor has received the tender for its construction from the department.
Vimsar was established in 1959. Even since then, the land has not been registered in its name. A question was raised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) that no land has been claimed in the name of Vimsar for six decades. Because of this, there was a threat of cancellation of Vimsar’s affiliation. In the year 2020, 118 acres of land were registered in the name of Vimsar. 79 acres of land were registered in 2021. During the identification of this land, the stake was buried in the presence of Vimsar authorities and other officials of the municipal department. It was said that a tender will be issued soon by the relevant department for the construction of new dormitories and staff quarters.
It is worth noting that 233 acres of land were identified in the name of Vimsar. Tahsildar and Revenue Inspector rectified the error in it. Earlier, during the time District Governor Balwant Vir Surendrasa ‘Singh, a master plan was also prepared for the land Ayurscience and research institute. Even during the time of the instructor Professor Ashwini Kumar Pujahari, steps were taken to make this land in the name of Vimsar. In this context, the issue of confiscation of some lands of Vimsar cannot be ruled out.
