Sambalpur: Many people are worried after the rope broke in Gujarat. Hirakud Ropeway safety checks will be carried out to ensure the safety and security of tourists and passengers. A letter has been written to the Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Resources at Ranchi, Jharkhand on behalf of the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation. As the tourist season has started, the arrival of tourists to Hirakud Ropeway is increasing.
During the proposed inspection, the project will be thoroughly scrutinized. At this time, if there is a mistake, it will be corrected. An official informed that the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation is in touch with the CMIFR for inspection work. A team from the said organization will come to Hirakud in December. It is estimated that about five lakh rupees will be spent for ropeway inspection. It is said that the entire structure, including welding, will be tested for the system. The rope-way connects from Gandhi Minar under the left side dyke to Jawahar Park. Its length is 800 meters and there are 8 trolleys in Set.
