Sambalpur: The Chief Minister will arrive on the 11th, Attend the gathering of Kendu leaf pluckers
Sambalpur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is visiting Sambalpur on the 11th. The Chief Minister will attend the grand gathering of the Odisha Kendu Leaf Worker Association at Redhakhol Block Charmal High School. A large gathering arranged by the Odisha Kendu Leaf Worker Association will be attended by many workers and pluckers from different districts in Odisha. Union State President Bijaya Mohanty has called all the seasonal workers from all over the country to join the gathering. The union has been demanding the introduction of various social security schemes. In the past, the Chief Minister had introduced many welfare schemes for workers of the Kendu Leaf Worker Association but in this program also some other social welfare schemes are requested to be implemented. The Chief Minister will be requested to create more pressure on the Central Government for a complete GST waiver on Kendu leaf.
According to union organization secretary Sanjit Mohanty, many high-ranking Odisha government officials, as well as union state workers, will be present. To make the gathering successful Vice President Gokula Meher, Binod Pradhan, Mahammad Murtuja, Shibanand Parichaa, Saroj Karna, Srikanta Mishra, Ratnakara Pradhan, Jadu Panigrahi, Kishor Pradhan, Udit Tripathi, Bhupendra Naik, Pradeep Sahu, Sanjay Chowdhury, Khetramohan Barik and Kirtan Senapati Leader are continuing preparations at Redhakhol.
