Sambalpur: The couple lost their lives by jumping infront of train,10 days since they left home
A young men and women committed suicide on Thursday by jumping infront of train from the Burla Overbridge. Their injured body was found in a railway track this morning, but was confiscated by the railway police. Both are from Dunguripali area of Subarnapur district and have been left home for the past 10 days. Police believe they committed suicide because their love is not accepted.
Revealed from the incident, the loving couple arrived on a bike late at night under the overbridge near Burla Ambasadha Kantapali and jumped infront of train. Both were found dead in a train wreck. There were some biscuits and water bottles lying nearby, as well as a pair of slippers. Following the case being spread, there was a great crowd. No identities of the two were found in the early hours of the morning, but Later that night, both were identified. Both are from Subarnapur district, police said.
The young man was identified as P Pintu Meher of village Dunguripali Beheramal and the young woman was Truptimayee Pradhan of Pipilipali village, police said. Both have since committed suicide after returning home for the past 10 days. Sambalpur Railway Police did not identify them at the outset, while Subarnapur District Dunguripali Police Station reported that a case had been registered against a young woman from her house, SI Gajendra Pradhan of the Railway Police said. After informing her family, the identities of both young men and women were seized. The couple’s body was reportedly stored in a morgue after autopsy in Bhimsar.
