Sambalpur: The issue of the failure of the Investigation Agency, When will action be taken against the top level officers?

Sambalpur/Jharsuguda: Mitrabhanu Deo, PSO or Personal Security Officer of Minister Shri Naba Das, has been suspended for gross dereliction of duty. Mitrabhanu has been performing his duties as PSO since the days when Shri Naba Das was a MLA. It has been said by the department that he neglected his duty to protect the minister on the day of the incident. Police Ranker Mitrabhanu Deo and an SP Security personnel were deputed to protect the minister. However, SP security officer was not with Shri Naba Das on that day.

On the other hand, the failure of the agency led to the death of health minister Shri Naba Das, but the officers of this department are still at the mercy of the government. The PSO of Shri Naba Das has been suspended from his job today under Mar Mar Bhandaria’s Mar policy. However, the government has not put its hands on the major aspects of this department. The murder of Health Minister Shri Naba Das by a police officer is considered as a dishonourable incident in the history of Odisha.

On the contrary, according to the investigation, the accused Gopal Das was planning to kill Health Minister Shri Naba Das long before. The incident was planned. It is said that Gopal himself visited Shri Naba Das’s residence several times in the last 15 days and kept detailed information about Shri Naba Das’s visit program while he sent his elder brother Satya Das who stayed at the hotel at Gandhi Street in Brajrajnagar. Even the party workers and the people living around Shri Naba Das residence were questioned about the minister’s presence. Gopal wanted to kill before the incident on 29th, but the information could not be found. Despite all this, the Police department could not give any advance information about the danger to Shri Naba Das’s life. Police Department is working under a DSP in Jharsuguda district headquarters. There are many officers and staff in this department. Starting from the law enforcement in the district, how could the people of this department, who are keeping the news about the security related technology, not know that the life of Shri Naba Das was in danger, if they knew that Shri Naba Das was not provided proper security. Many such questions are being discussed in the conscious citizens’ quarters.

Barjarajnagar IIC and Gandhichowk Police Station Officers have been transferred

Brajrajnagar: SP and SDPO were replaced on Tuesday after the murder of Minister Shri Naba Das. IIC Pradyumna Swain has been transferred to Sambalpur District Police Headquarters and Police Officer Podha has been transferred to Subarnapur District Police Headquarters. Sambalpur District Working Inspector Dhabaleshwar Sahu has joined as IIC Brajrajnagar.
