Sambalpur: The most awaited #Hirakud Eco Retreat started, Hon’ble CM of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated via VC

Sambalpur: The fun of water sports in the vast waters of Hirakud Reservoir in a five-star hotel. Along with this opportunity to enjoy the natural environment, the Hirakud Eco-Retreat has started for the third year with such unique and pleasant facilities on the banks of the wide water at Hirakud in Jamadarpali Balbaspur, Sambalpur. Tourists can take advantage of star hotel-like facilities like bar, restaurant, meeting room etc. under the tent.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Hirakud Eco Retreat at 11 am on Thursday through video conferencing. On the occasion of the inauguration, Uttaranchal Revenue Commissioner (RDC) Suresh Chandra Dalei, Sambalpur District Collector Ananya Das, SP B. Gangadhar, Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Pradeep Sahu, Deputy Director of Tourism Department Hemant Pradhan were present.

The RDC said that by an eco-retreat, Odisha tourism can be spread across the country. The District Collector said that eco-retreat was affected in the last 2 years due to covid and hoped that more people would benefit from eco-retreat this year. It will continue till February 28.

This year, 25 premium cottages have been arranged at Hirakud Eco Retreat. You can book the cottage at ecoretreat.odishatourism.gov.in and you have to pay Rs. – No fee is payable for children below 6 years of age. On the other hand, GST has been placed on the price of tents for Saturday and Sunday nights at Rs 9,000. Last year, the price of tent at Hirakud Eco Retreat was Rs. 12,000 with GST in general and Rs. 14,000 with GST on Saturday and Sunday. This year, while the corona restrictions have been completely lifted, the price of tents has also decreased. Therefore, the administration hopes that more tourists will come to Hirakud Eco Retreat this year than in previous years!

Tourists can enjoy water sports

Eco Retreat with Hirakud Dyke offers various adventure water sports facilities for the tourists. Tourists can enjoy this adventure sport even if they are not staying at the eco retreat. This facility is provided near Left Dyke. Banana Boat (5 people 1500 rupees), Speed Boat (8 people 1000 rupees), Jet Ski (1 people 500 rupees), Sky Arch (1 people 300 rupees, 2 people 500 rupees), Bumper Ride (3 people 1000 rupees), Disco(6 person 1800 rupees), Para Sailing(1 person 1500 rupees). On the other hand, the tourists staying at Eco Retreat can also take ATP bike facilities for all the above water sports.

What facilities are there?

After booking, tourist can get a 575 square feet of air conditioning tent control winter pressure for living in which there will be double bed and can accommodate 2 people. There will also be cultural programs in the eco evenings where artist performed. From children’s play areas, tents with yoga facilities, water sports, water park, meals from breakfast to dinner will be found.There will also facilities such as visits to Debrigarh and Hirakud every day.
