Sambalpur: The son is released from jail, while the policeman father is suspended
Sambalpur: Three days after his son’s release from jail, the incident of suspension of the policeman father has become a topic of discussion in the Kuchinda area of Sambalpur district. Kuchinda Court Havildar Sunil Kar has been suspended from the post by Sambalpur SP. It is not known why Sunil was suspended. It is worth mentioning that Sunil’s only son Saurabh Kar was involved in beating up some cattle herders and burning their boleros on the night of November 30, 2023. Last December, the Mehulpali police station arrested Saurabh Kar, a resident of Kuchinda, and his other accomplices Sanjit Rai, Atish Agarwal, Rajkrishna Naik, Shantanu Rohidas, and Deepak Kisan, a resident of Kuchinda, in case number 163, Section 435, 395, 34 of the IPC.
A group of cattle traders who bought 40 cows from the Jhariabal cattle market and were taking them to Keonjhar was attacked at Langbahal Street. Among them, two cattle traders were severely beaten. After tying them to a tree, the bolero used by them was burnt on the way in the Patrajangal forest. They were even accused of looting Rs 50,000 from them at the Mehulpali police station.
The accused who were arrested on January 12 were released from jail on bail. After they got out of jail on bail, they were taken out in a procession in Kuchinda. Havildar Sunil Kar’s son Saurabh was working as a laborer in the hospital Kuchinda.
