Sambalpur: The state-level art exhibition ‘Saptarang’ has been inaugurated
Children will be inspired by painting: District Magistrate
Sambalpur: The Odisha Academy of Fine Arts and the Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department of Odisha started the exhibition of paintings titled ‘Saptarang’ at the Regional Art Gallery Sambalpur on Monday. Sambalpur District Magistrate Ananya Das inaugurated the exhibition and toured the paintings displayed at the Das Gallery. She praised the artists for creating it in a very short time, saying that it was great to see so many different paintings. The children will be inspired to see such paintings, so he appealed to the people of Sambalpur to take a visit and look at the paintings.
She also said efforts will be made by the district administration to bring the talent forward. She also invited people to visit Gaurishankar Sahani Park Art Gallery. She was presented with two paintings of her by artists. Panchanan Samal, Secretary, Academy of Fine Arts, welcomed the guests and spoke about the approach of the exhibition.
Rukmini Ballab Pradhan, Vishnuprasad Nayak, Manisha Das, Sudarshan Nag, Devnari Mary, Subrata Mallick, Durga Prasad Das, Vishnupad Senapati, Rupalpak Barik, Binod Bhuiyan, Shashikant Raut, Meenakshi Mishra, Saroj Patel, Deepak Mahant, Kedar Nayak, Anhal Sahu, Deepak Mishra, Kuldeep Burma, Sujata Behera were among the prominent painters, including DIPRO Fakir Mohan Majhi, District Culture Officer Deepak Kulma, Namita Patnaik and Vidyapati Pradhan.
Vidyapati Pradhan assisted in organizing the event. The exhibition will be held upto August 1st.
