Sambalpur: Theater Festival 2022 organised by ‘Ka kha ga’ Theater Institute at Aranyak Mancha Jhaduapada

Sambalpur: ‘Ka kha ga’ theater institute has started the Natyotsava 2022 at Aranyak Mancha in Jhaduapada. On the first evening of Friday, the collage ‘Gunthan’ of poetry, music and pictures was a hit. In it, poems of 11 dead and living poets, musical adaptations of poems and pictures were prepared. Vijaya Kumar Tripathi recites Late Gopalakrishna Rath’s poem, Mohan Sahu recites Late Hridmani Pradhan’s poem, Pradyumna Kumar Das recites Late Ranjit Patnaik’s poem. Similarly, poet Indira Das’ poem was translated by Savita Tripathi in her absence.

Besides, poets Ramakrishna Sahu, Pradeep Kumar Panda, Bhagirathi Mishra, Manoj Kumar Panda, Saroj Mohanty, Durga Prasad Panda, Savitri Purohit Major recited their poems. During this time, each poem was transformed into a picture by artist Sanjay Sahu. Similarly, all the poems were composed and served as music. Vishawaswarup Mahapatra, Hridanand Gartia, Saicharan Pattnaik, Rabindra Panda, Gopal Mahakud, Reena Das, Pritinanda Mishra sang the vocals while Bijendra Naik composed the music.

Then in the second session, the play ‘Katha’ written and directed by Bijendra Nayak was performed. It was presented in a spectacular manner by the eminent comic poet and artist Manoranjan Sahu through a solo performance. Haridananda Gartia sang the vocals. From the beginning. Prof. Kalidas Mishra, Sudarshan Pujari, Dhrubcharan Panda, Saumendra Pujari, Dr. Raseshwari Panigarahi inaugurated the program as the chief guest. On this occasion, the book ‘Bartalap-3’ edited and compiled by Ka kha ga was launched. It records the creative dialogues of 12 prominent literary figures with 12 other writers.
