Sambalpur: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has organized a special event for the Raja at the Panthanivas in Sambalpur every year. Attempts have been made to re-create the raja mauja, which has been faded for two years due to corona cut.
Raja songs are being played in the guest house with Rajadoli decorated. Delicious cakes are made. The program, which started on the first day of Raja, will run for three days from 5pm to 8pm. It was inaugurated by Hemant Pradhan, Assistant Director, Department of Tourism, on Tuesday. Debashis Sahu, General Manager of Panthanivas, was present. On the first day, a large number of people, including young girl, women and children, attended the event. They played raja doli and eat raja pan. The Panthanivas prepared and sold podpitha, chakuli ghuguni, arisa, kakra, manda, dahibara, gulabjamun, labangalata, etc.
