Sambalpur: Ticket Counter closed till Train Departure
Burla: Passengers complained that the ticket counter was closed till the Sambalpur-Rayagada express train left Hirakud station today. As a result, hundreds of passengers boarded the train without any other option.
According to the complaints of the passengers, this morning, the passengers lined up at the ticket counter from around 5.30 am at the Hirakud railway station to board the Sambalpur-Rayagada Express. There is also an inscription in front of the ticket counter that the ticket counter opens at 6 am. Rayagada Intercity departs from this station at 6:17 AM. But, today the ticket counter was not opened until the train left Station. As the train was going through Bargarh, Balangir, Koraput to Rayagada, there was a long queue of hundreds of passengers depending on it. Passengers were forced to board the train without tickets as the ticket counter was closed until the departure. Some passengers went to the station master’s room to complain about the counter being closed and found it locked.
