Sambalpur: Tower work on Budharaja hilltop to be completed soon, district magistrate’s review
Construction of the tower on the Budharaja hilltop in the center of Sambalpur town has been slow. Sambalpur District Commissioner Divyajyoti Parida reviewed the construction today. However, due to various technical reasons, the project was delayed and the district commissioner ordered the department to complete the work immediately. In 2017, the state government sanctioned Rs 1 crore for the construction of a watchtower on the Budharaja hilltop. The beautification work has begun on an area of 0.99 hectares of protected forest. There are plans to build seating for people, parking, music, fountains, kiosks, food plazas and more. So first under the Forest Department it’s been 3 years since this land was acquired now the department delayed the project.
