Sambalpur: Transgender Fashion Show on June 9 After 4 Years

Sambalpur: After a gap of 4 years, the transgender fashion show will be organized again this year. The Sitalsasthi Jatra Committee of Shitaleshwar Baba Badabazar has arranged the event for the evening of the 9th of June at 8 PM at the Samaleswari Mandap on Ring Road, Badabazar. Kishore Pradhan, the president of the Sitalsasthi Jatra Committee, informed that Meera Parida, Buddhadeb Pradhan, and Surendra Mohanty have been given the responsibility of managing the fashion show. Many transgenders from both within and outside the state will participate and showcase their talents. Attractive prizes will be awarded to the participants who secure the first, second, and third positions in the fashion show. Notably, the first transgender fashion show was held in 2013 and drew a large crowd. However, it was discontinued for some reasons afterward. In its inaugural year, 25 transgenders from different regions participated in the competition.
