Sambalpur: Trilateral meeting in Vimsar, MRI service resumed after the intervention of the health secretary
Burla: A notification was issued by Vimsar that the MRI service of Western Odisha Lifeline Burla Vimsar will be closed from midnight on Monday for an indefinite period. There was a disruption in the provision of MRI services from midnight on Monday to 1 am on Wednesday. However, following the instructions of the Health Secretary, the MRI service has been reactivated today, Superintendent Professor Lalmohan Naik has informed.
The contract period of HLL (Hindustan Latex Limited), which has been providing MRI services to Vimsar since last October 21, has expired. As Vimsar is getting its own MRI machine, the company has been asked to provide this service for the next six months. However, it was stipulated that he would provide services if he signed a contract for 7 years. As a result, poor patients were deprived of MRI services for two days. In this regard, a meeting was held with the Deputy Secretary of Health Department of OSMCL, Vimsar, HLL officials today through virtual media. Various aspects were discussed in this meeting.
Previously HLL was paid 4 thousand 2 rupees for each test. Superintendent Professor Lalmohan Naik has informed that the officials of HLL company have asked for time till tomorrow in this proposal to pay 1800 rupees to HLL after the expiry of the contract period.
