Sambalpur University Vice-Chancellor Recruitment, Fate of 3 Candidates will be in the closed envelope

Sambalpur: The selection committee for the post of Vice Chancellor for Sambalpur University has completed its work. The names of the top 3 candidates have been selected and given to the viceroy. After the resignation of the controversial Chancellor of Sambalpur University, Prof. Sanjiv Mittal, Professor Kantita Das has been acting as the Vice-Chancellor since last September. About 49 professors from the state and outside the state applied for the vacant post of chancellor. A 3-member selection committee was formed to select the Chancellor. Interviews were held for two days on 28th and 29th.

Many professors could not come for the interview due to some reasons. About 40 professors who applied were interviewed for the post of Chancellor. However, the top 3 names have been selected among them. It is said that the name of a former chancellor and a current chancellor of the state are among these three people. The Director will appoint one from the list of three persons as Vice-Chancellor. According to reliable sources, a new chancellor will be appoint for Sambalpur University within the next week.
