Sambalpur: Vimsar’s Trauma Care Unit was functional and Surgery started

Burla: A long time hope has finally come true. A trauma care unit was made functional a few days ago, according to hospital sources, surgery has also started in this unit. The operation of this trauma care unit will primarily benefit trauma patients, poison ivy patients, and other critically ill patients. However, the ICU beds in this trauma care unit are not yet functional. The ICU bed will also be operational within a few days as the oxygen connection is underway, said Vimsar officials. However, the trauma care unit, like the emergency department, can also be open for 24-hour patient care, which will benefit the poor patients of various districts of western Odisha and neighboring states Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh who depend on Vimsar, the authorities said.
