Sambalpur: VSSUT Racing Car in Formula Imperial-2023
Burla: VSSUT Racing Car will compete with other teams in the Formula Imperial-2023 to be held at the Greater Noida Buddha International Circuit from the 12th to 16th. VSSUT students have worked tirelessly on a shoestring budget to create a beautifully designed and comfortable electric vehicle. The development of this model was started in 2022. With a budget of around Rs 5 lakh, a team of 40 students from Visut has been able to build the respective electric vehicle.
The vehicle is powered by a 10 kW PMSM motor, which provides the vehicle with high torque. A 72-volt battery is used in this vehicle. Developed by team members, the vehicle has various safety features including a search-down socket and a luggage controller in accordance with the regulations provided by Formula Imperial, capable of providing all the power required for this battery vehicle.
In addition, various circuits and power trains are being assembled by the VSSUT team in this vehicle. The key features of the vehicle are the use of a front knob to increase downforce and traction. The VSSUT team “Beer Racers Electric” has successfully completed its first project, the Zeus 1.0. The team has been informed that they will be able to build such a complex in the future as well.
The respective racing car development team members are Captain Rajeev Lochan Singh, Vice Captain Omprakash Sahu, Technical Head Dipesh Ranjan Singh, Marketing Head Nihar Ranjan Singh, Suspension and Steering Head Jyotiraditya Saha, Brakes Head Kumar Arpan Raut Rai, and Manufacturing Head Saurabh Ranjan Behera. The team also includes Amarnath Maharana, Vishwajit Mohanty, Shraddhananda Naik, Satyabrat Sahu, Janmajay Jena, Abhishek Sabat, B Milan Prusty, Bishnu Sahu, Girija Meher, Anindita Pati and Peter Toppo.
