Sambalpur: VSSUT’s 14th Convocation ceremony, Campus Placement: 725 students get placed
Burla: On the occasion of the 14th convocation ceremony of of Veer Surendra Sai University of Science and Technology at the University’s Golden Jubilee Auditorium today, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Banshidhar Majhi said, 1213 students have been considered eligible to obtain Master’s and Post Graduate degrees and 60 PHD degrees. On Tuesday, 29 people will be awarded university and 9 sponsored gold medals will be awarded in the event held at Vssut campus. Akash Kumar Raut of B.Tech and Sakshi Agarwal of CSE will be awarded as the best student.
Most of the graduate courses of the university are affiliated with SCHOM and PowerTech, NITTR, CIPED, and MOUs have been signed for consultancy, teacher exchange training and capacity building by NBA. 26.10 crores from the state government in 2021-22 and Rs.66.36 crores from non-plan funds, infrastructures like administrative and academic departments, sports complex, recruitment cell, 300-seat hostel and computer center are being constructed.
Research and development has been achieved by 18 university professors and lecturers. 538 articles have been published in various journals and 69 articles have been published in various books. Seventeen alumni of the university have qualified OAS. 450 units of blood were collected and the University’s NSS was awarded by Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari.
Rahul krishna Nanda has been appointed to the start-up and has acquired patents on rocket motor design, hybrid airborne, Engine turbine and silo launch pad. Professor Majhi said that 725 job opportunities have been given to the students of the last semester by the 54 company campuses who came for the selection last year.
In the press conference, the Chancellor of the University Pradeep Dang, Dean PK Hota, Prof. Prakash Chandra Swain, Sanjay Agarwal, Sanay Patra, Prof. Devadatta Mishra, Prof. Priya Ranjan Mohapatra were the key speakers.
