Sambalpur: Vssut’s Racing Car, First in the Track Racing and Electric Vehicle Category
Burla: Vssut’s SAE team’s racing car ‘VeerRacerss Electric‘ has won the Formula Imperial 2023 held jointly at Greater Noida Buddha International Circuit and Golgotius University. It took first place in the track racing and electric vehicle categories, while it finished third overall. In this competition, racing car technical tests, driver’s egress, brake tests, track racing tests, and other tests were conducted.
The VeerRacerss Electric racing car delivered outstanding results that lived up to everyone’s expectations. This electric racing kart was created with the continuous efforts of Vssut SAE team. It has been reported that the SAE team’s next goal is to improve upon the VeerRacerss Electric Zeus 1.0 model and participate in future Formula India events. 25 people participated in it.
Rajeev Lochan Singh led the captaincy while Sanidhya Soni, Subhashree Naik, Nihar Ranjan Purohit, Jyotiraditya Sahu, Biswajit Mohanty, Diptesh Ranjan Singh, Om Prakash Sahu, Amarnath Maharana, Shraddhananda Naik, Arpan Kumar Raut, Saurabh Ranjan Behera, Satyabrat Sahu, Abhishek Sabat, Janmajay Jena, B. Milan Prusty, Bishnu Prasad Sahu, Soumya Saraswati Sahu, Anandita Pati, Girija Meher, Shakambari Sahu, Peter Toppo, Soumyaranjan Vishwal, Swayam Kumar Hota and Jatadhari Sahu.
It is worth noting that due to the continuous efforts of the students of the Vssut SAE team, they were able to build an electric vehicle with a beautiful design and comfort on a low budget. The development of this model was started in 2022. A team of 40 students has been able to build this electric vehicle with a budget of around Rs 5 lakh.
