Sambalpur: Vssut’s “Team Innoviz” 1st Runners Up in Smart India Hackathon
Sambalpur: ‘Team Innoviz’ of Burla Veer Surendra Sai University of Science and Technology (VSSUT) participated in the Smart India Hackathon and became the first runners up. Nikhil Dang, Trilochan Basantiya, Vishni Manigrahi, Asjena, Laksha Subudhi and Disha Swaween were members of the team. All of them are professional members of Vssut Robotics Society. Team Innoviz qualified to participate in the Smart India Hackathon after beating other university-level teams. There, Vssut was given the subject of ‘Travel and Tourism’ by the Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Safety of tourists while traveling Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the contestants at the inaugural event after the arrival of the first runners in the Vashya Smart India Hackathon. After the mentoring session, the teams presented their products and projects in front of the judges. Innovid had to find a way out of the scientific method. Bhilai Institute of Technology was the nodal center for Innovations and they were the only team from Odisha in this centre. They were also shown in front of the project on tourism safety in the fort. After multiple bar inspections by the judges and consideration of all elements of the project, ‘Team Innoviz’ was declared the runner-up of the program.
