Sambalpur: VVIP Road Woes; Ainthapali-Jamadarpali Route Seeks Solutions
Sambalpur: The Ainthapali-Jamadarpali road in Sambalpur, which is known for its VVIP status due to its proximity to the airstrip, is facing a major problem. For months, sewage water has flowed along this important route, causing dissatisfaction among pedestrians and disrupting ongoing construction projects.
The road, extending from Eco Retreat in Jamadarpali to Ainthapali, has been a focus of administration efforts due to its significance. It serves as a crucial path to the airstrip in Jamadarpali, where VVIP landings occur, and witnesses increased traffic during the November to March period due to the influx of tourists visiting the eco-retreats.
Despite the route’s importance, a recurrent issue has arisen at Singhapali, where drain water flows onto the road when it rains. This waterlogging has disrupted not just the ongoing Faber block work, but has also made pedestrians uncomfortable. During mild rain, the road becomes inaccessible, generating a terrible odor that leads to public displeasure.
Residents complain that the canal built to sewage water along the apartment complex’s wall has not been properly addressed, resulting in an overflow onto the road. The lack of a proper drainage system has made worse the problem, causing inconvenience to the community and hindering the road’s functionality.
The local population is dissatisfied with the sewage water issue, underlining the need for fast action from the authorities. Despite periodic repairs and extensions, the road’s recurrent waterlogging has become a cause of dissatisfaction, requiring a swift resolution to maintain its VVIP status.
While the Ainthapali-Jamadarpali road is a critical link for VVIP landings and tourist traffic, the continuous sewage water problems needs immediate action. Residents seek for a quick resolution to ensure the road’s functionality and to address the public dissatisfaction arising from the sewage overflow.
