Sambalpur: Weird System; Sewerage and P.H.D. digging road after road construction

Sambalpur: The government is periodically sanctioning funds for the improvement of roads in Sambalpur city. Along with the construction of new roads, the city’s deplorable roads are being rehabilitated. But Sewage and P.H.D. are putting the long life of the road in the face of death for no reason. These two departments are not repairing the new pipeline properly while opening the road and the repair tape. Even after digging the road, they are throwing stones and ash from the factory at the place. But due to the lack of proper repair of the road, there are potholes on the road.

Due to the dilapidated roads, there are many instances of accidents. Although Sambalpur is recognized as a metropolitan corporation, most of the roads in the city are in a state of disrepair. Even major public roads have potholes. The P.H.D. department has opened water pipe repair near Ambedkar Statue on Modipada Street. Then the water pipe was repaired but the road was not repaired in the proper manner. While this road is crowded, the public have expressed dissatisfaction over the careless activities of the PHD department. Similarly, the road from Dhanupali Street to Bhatra Shankar Math has been dug up and left in very bad condition. When most of the roads in the city have been destroyed by sewage, it is being questioned how far it is reasonable for the district administration to remain silent without taking any action in this regard. Even the road from Sakhipada through A.N Guha line is in a deplorable condition. The road from Behramunda to Thakurpada, the road from Danipali to Gopalmal to the gate is in a deplorable condition. Due to faulty construction of the drains of this road, the rainwater is not flowing into the drains but is flowing on the road. Along with this, since the roads of Pensionpada and Motijharan areas are in bad condition, there is a need to renew them.
