Sambalpur: With the help of Social Worker Shri Siddharth Saha (Sidhu), the construction of the house of Ambika Meher, a resident of Badabazar, has started
Sambalpur: Ambika Meher, a resident of Majhipada under Ward No. 17 of Badabazar, became helpless and hopeless and living her life with great difficulty. Ambika lived very hard in the cold, rain, and heat. Now that her suffering is over, Shri Siddharth Saha (Sidhu), ex. municipality vice-chairman and social worker, has extended his helping hand to build a house for her. After listening to Ambika’s grief and plight, Mr. Saha proceeded to build a house. Today Shreya Rani Ray, a student of the fourth class of that area, broke a coconut with the start of making a house.
Mr. Saha said that a beautiful concrete house has been started at this place for Ambika and soon this house will be constructed and handed over to Ambika. She thanked Siddharth Saha for helping the poor and suffering.
Ramnath Sahu along with Purnima Nag, Anu Sichua, Mandar Seth, Sukun Lamba, and Basanti Meher, Dulal Chandra Ray were among the major attendees in the worship program held for the construction of Ambika’s House. It is worth noting that after the death of Ambika’s husband Arpariku, she lived alone for a long time. It is difficult to earn and provide food two times and clothes by washing utensils in other houses. As she grows older, she is no longer able to earn money as before. It was not possible for her to build a house to live in the lack of finances.
