Sambalpur: Women attempt suicide by jumped into the power channel

Burla: A married woman of Burla city attempted suicide by jumping into a power channel on Sunday night. According to the information received from the police, Rinki Suna (21), wife of Ritesh Suna of Burla Gandhipada, jumped into the power channel a few meters away from the police station at around 9 pm. Burla police and fire brigade immediately reached the spot after receiving the news. Firefighters searched some distance near Pada Ghat of Vishnu Temple. But, he could not be found. The fire department said that the rescue operation will be done again tomorrow morning. However, the reason behind Rinki’s decision to take such a step is not clear.
