Sambalpur: Worst Condition of national swimmer, not getting any schemes, living in slums
Sambalpur: Mamata Bhoi is a national swimmer. She has brought a lot of fame and pride to the state and district. The government and administration, which once took pride in her achievements, have turned away from her in her worst days. In such a situation, a national-level player is forced to work as a laborer to survive, while the hut has become her only resource. She has requested many times, to provide a job and a house in the government scheme. But that has not been possible till now. In such a situation, she has to return to the district administration again today.
Mamata Bhoi is one of the few best swimmers in the district. She has brought glory to the state and district in many competitions held at the national, state, and district levels. It has been almost 10 years since her husband has gone, and there is no news of him. In such a situation, Mamata has now been forced to take shelter in a slum house in Sirvesarvenda under Ward No. 26 of the Metropolitan Corporation. His only daughter is currently studying in the seventh standard. She has to work as a laborer in various places to make the girl a human being. Mamata has approached the district administration several times about the problem, but nothing has been done.
Today, Sambalpur BJD worker met with the District Collector along with Mamata. In the absence of the District Collector, additional District Collector Ramakant Raj was met and demanded to provide housing for Mamata, employment and help for the schooling of the little girl. On this occasion, BJD State Spokesperson and Samlei Temple Trust Board President Sanjay Babu, Prafulla Kumar Das, Hardeep Singh Bhuji, Dulal Chandra Roy, Surekha Sahu, Kannbala Patnaik, Jyotsna Pradhan were present.
