Sambalpur: Sambalpur’s middle-order batsman Abhinav Nanda has been included in the Odisha squad for the under-23 Colonel CK Naidu Trophy match against Tripura. In this match to be played in Agartala from the 21st, after Ashutosh Chhariya, Abhinav has joined the 16-member team as the second Sambalpur player. Abhinav, son of Shantanu Nanda, a native of Nandapada, Sambalpur, and a resident of Commissioners Colony, has previously represented Odisha in the under-19 team. Seventeen-year-old Abhinav is a talented left-handed batsman who has also proven himself at various levels as a useful left-arm spinner for the team. Abhinav said that he got this opportunity with the blessings of God and Gurujan.
