Siren will sound when third degree given at the police station
The siren will sound in the control room if the prisoner is tortured or the money is exchanged with the accused. All of this will be possible through state-of-the-art cameras equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and will be operated on special software developed by the Odisha Computer Application Center (OCAC). Not all areas of the police station were visible on this camera. The apex court in April last year ordered the police to install enough CCTV cameras in the IIC’s chambers. “The rescue squad wasn’t called ,” told the Associated Press. CCTV cameras will be installed at all entrances and exits to the police station, all gates, detention centers, corridors, reception areas, IIC rooms.
Only the police will not be in control of it. The district superintendent, the DCP, and, if necessary, the DGP can conduct the inspection themselves. The DGP’s office is expected to have a control and command room. The siren will sound in the control room if the prisoner is tortured or the money is exchanged with the accused. The siren appears to be ringing through a sensor on the camera. The work is nearing completion in Khordha, Puri and Jagatsinghpur, including all the Twin Cities Commissionerate police stations. By the end of December, state-of-the-art cameras will be available in all 543 locations across the state.
