Odisha-born IPS officer SN Pradhan, has been appointed as the NCB’s DG

Satya Narayan Pradhan, a senior IPS officer from Odisha, has been appointed as the full-time chief of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

The outgoing Director General of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been appointed as the Director General of NCB on a deputation basis until August 31, 2024, or until further orders.

This year, SN Pradhan, a 1988-batch Jharkhand-cadre IPS officer, was assigned the additional charge of the anti-drug central agency. On July 29, 2021, he was appointed as the DG of NCB.
