Student attack case in VSSUT(ଭିସୁଟ୍): 12 students expelled
Sambalpur: Veer Surendra Sai Technical University (VSSUT) authorities are taking a tough stance in the case of student attacks. A total of 12 students have been expelled from Vssut as a punishment against 12 students involved in the incident. Two of them were reportedly banned for two years and the other 10 for one year.
According to reports, a classmate of the Vssut Electrical Department, who was staying at the Pulha hostel on the 22nd, was attacked by one of his classmates. The student was seriously injured in the attack. The attack centered on a student. The injured student was hospitalized last Wednesday night. However, a committee was formed to investigate the incident. The students involved in the incident were told to leave the Vssut campus after receiving the first phase report. However, upon receipt of the full report, the committee decided to take firm action against the students involved in the incident.
Students Shubhjit and Sourav Kumar Naik were the first to start a riot and were expelled from Visut for two years for assaulting classmates. After the first attack, they called in other final year students and attacked the students. Thus, Abinash Das, Amrit Mohanty, Shubham Shekhar Acharya, Nihar Ranjan Sahu, Abinash Mohanty, Hrishikesh Sethi, Akash Mohanty, Nishant Kumar Rai, Hritesh Kumar Vhoi and Prakash Ghadei, who collectively attacked, were expelled for one year.
