Sambalpur: Subhadra Yojana Takes Off in Sambalpur; 1.62 Lakh Beneficiaries Start Receiving Funds
Sambalpur: Officials estimate that 2.25 lakh beneficiaries in Sambalpur district are eligible for the Subhadra Yojana. 1.62 lakh people have applied so far. The process of transferring Rs 5,000 to eligible beneficiaries’ accounts began today.
Inauguration Event Held at Sambalpur
The launch was held at Sambalpur’s Tapaswini Sammilani Hall, and key officials such as IG Himanshu Lal, District Collector Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, SMC Commissioner Ved Bhushan, and SP Mukesh Bhamu were present. Local community representatives, Mission Shakti, and various women’s self-help groups all took part.

Direct Benefit Transfer to Women’s Bank Accounts
During the event, beneficiaries were advised on how to best use the funds. The Subhadra Yojana aims to deposit funds directly into women’s bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Women can invest the funds in small businesses or home-based ventures according to their needs.
Success Stories Highlighted Under MUKTA Yojana
The ceremony also highlighted the success stories of self-help groups such as the State-Level Awardee Swakriti SHG, Punam SHG, and Sathi Kaveri SHG under the MUKTA Yojana.
Cultural Activities and Swachhata Oath
The program was led by Deputy Commissioner Shubhadeepta Mahanti, and all attendees took the Swachhata oath. Local artists also performed street plays emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and community well-being.
