Supriti Mishra of Sambalpur nominated for Junior Fellowship in the Sambalpuri Folk Dance

Sambalpur: Supriti Mishra of Sambalpur has been nominated by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India for the Junior Fellowship in the Sambalpuri Folk Dance Department for the year 2019-20.

Smt. Mishra, who has been practicing Sambalpuri folk dance since 1997, has been well-known for performing Sambalpuri folk dances in and outside the state. She has received Sambalpuri folk dance lessons from Guru Sashank Shekhar Dubey, Guru Ranjan Kumar Sahu, and Guru Durga Prasad Das. In addition, her research book, “Dalkhai, A Voyage of Diana,” has been published.
