Sambalpur: In the Govindatola area under the jurisdiction of Dhanupali police station in Sambalpur city, a disturbing incident recently took place. A teacher from Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Dhanupali, Govind Dansana, was injured after opposing a car crash. According to reports, his head was struck with a stone, causing severe bleeding, which has sparked tension in the local area.
Sequence of Events
Earlier today, around 10 a.m., Govind Dansana was riding his motorcycle while his wife, Shobhamayi, was on her scooter, both passing through the Govindatola petrol pump area. At that time, a young man in a car approached them from behind. Suddenly, the car hit Shobhamayi’s scooter, causing her to narrowly avoid an accident. A little further along, the car struck a young boy on a bicycle, and the driver lost control and fell.

Teacher Confronts Reckless Driver
Seeing the incident, Govind approached the young driver to question why he was driving so recklessly. This confrontation led to a heated argument, during which the driver became enraged and struck Govind’s head with a stone, injuring him badly.
Local Youth Intervene
On witnessing this violent act, some local youth intervened and restrained the young driver, assaulting him in response. Govind received medical treatment and is reportedly in stable condition. However, sources indicate that he has not yet filed an official complaint with the Dhanupali police station.
