Narayan Mohapatra of Deuli village under Sundargarh Sadar police station was admitted to the Vimsar Surgery Department in Burla on the 21st of this month in critical condition. He died last night in hospital. However, the family don’t have money for funeral. Madan Mohan Das of Bargarh contacted Ramdas Panda of Sambal NGO for help after learning of the incident. Immediately after social worker Shri Panda arranged for a rented ambulance to send the body of the deceased Narayan to Sundargarh. The family was able to take him home. The Mohapatra family is deeply grateful for the help of social workers. However, the Burla Vimsar has raised questions about the free transport system for cremation.
