The BJP’s call for a 12-hour strike in Sambalpur has disrupted public life
Sambalpur: The BJP today called for a 12-hour Strike in Sambalpur demanding the expulsion of Home Minister Divya Shankar Mishra in the Mamita Meher murder case. The impact has been felt across the district. The BJP has decided to observe the strike from 6 am to 6 pm. Rs 50 lakh has been demanded for Mamita’s family. BJP workers have been picketing in various parts of Sambalpur city this morning. Shops and bazaars were closed during the day. Government offices are closed. Lawyers have not gone to court because the district attorney’s office supports the movement. The courthouse is also closed. Public life has been disrupted. Testing and essential services have been excluded from the closure.
The BJP workers in Sambalpur district have warned that the protests will be intensified if the Chief Minister does not expel Divya Shankar Mishra, the Home Minister.
