Past Incidents and Police Response
This isn’t an isolated incident. A few months ago, two thefts occurred in the Neeldunguri area. In that area criminals stole large sums of money from two individuals. However, those responsible have not been caught to this day.
The recent viral video has raised concerns about public safety. Many people question how thieves can operate under police surveillance without getting caught. People worry about the lack of action.
The Sambalpur Sadar SDPO Tofan Bag stated that the two people in the video work in a mill and have not stolen anything. Despite this, he summoned them and warned them not to produce similar videos in the future. He also assured the public that no one has stolen any vehicles from the Remed area or any businesses in recent months.
