Sambalpur: Late at night, an unidentified truck repeatedly rammed into a car, causing a severe accident. The impact was so intense that the car was completely crushed, resembling a movie stunt scene. This incident has raised suspicions among the police, BJP leaders, party workers, and local residents. The victim was known for his friendly relations with the community, making the attack even more puzzling. Initially reported as an accident, a survivor’s testimony revealed a more sinister story.
Eyewitnesses Describe a Planned Attack
The incident occurred near A. Katapali, involving a truck with registration number OD-15-T 3889. After the collision, the truck driver stopped about 50 meters from the crash site, exited the vehicle holding two bricks, and approached the car, seemingly intending to harm the injured occupants further. Fortunately, local youths, including Jimmi Gupta, Laba Meher, Sanjay Moti, Raja Kuldeep, and Bhavesh Nayak, intervened, rescuing the victims and disarming the driver.

BJP Leader Condemns the Attack

Union Minister Visits Victims’ Families
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the families of the deceased at Burla Medical College to offer condolences. He also met critically injured victims Suresh Chhanda and Ramnarayan Panda, who are being treated in a private hospital ICU. Minister Pradhan assured support and wished for their speedy recovery while discussing their condition with the attending doctors.
