Where there is crisis, there is a pipe rupture and water is wasted, Neglect of the public health department

Sambalpur: The Mahanadi river is near the Hirakud Reservoir which is near the SMC. However, people in many parts of the Sambalpur metropolitan area have not been able to access clean drinking water. Not only in the summer, but also in the rainy season. On the other hand, due to the negligence of the public health department, the problem is becoming more and more complicated. Pipes have exploded in many parts of the city. Water is always coming out. A main pipe supplying water from Service Road to Bareipali has ruptured. In the cracked area, water comes out of the pipes and is wasted.

The water is coming out so much that the driver is seen washing the car in this water as well as bathing himself. According to locals, the pipe ruptured on May 5 but has not yet been repaired. Locals even after drawing the attention of the public health department in this regard, but to no avail. After the water supply is cut off, contaminated water flows back into the pipe at the cracked area and that water is being supplied to the townspeople.
