Woman burnt alive by devil husband, tragic result of domestic quarrel

Kuchinda: Wife burned alive by her husband. A similar incident took place in Fathatang village of Mahulpalli police station in Sambalpur district. Such incidents have been reported to have centered on domestic disputes. Capturing the accused, Locals have surrendered to police.

According to sources, Lilima Rana and her husband Raghuraj Rana of Fathatang village in Mahulpali police station had gone to collect the mahul ful. On his way home, Raghuraj Rana was drinking and having a fight with his wife. Unable to bear it, wife Lilima went to her father’s house in the village of Fathatang. But her father persuaded her and bring her daughter at 11pm and leave her with her husband.

However, the intoxicated husband took his wife and her stuffed in a room and locked her. There he poured kerosene and set it on fire. Hearing Lilima’s screams, the neighbors rushed to the door and rescued her. She was rushed to Kuchinda Medical Center by 108 ambulance. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The villagers arrested her husband Raghuraj Rana and handed him over to the police. So far no one was able to known the exact cause of this incident.
