Sambalpur: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has recently turned his attention to Western Odisha. He launched two key state-level agriculture initiatives in the region and even participated in the Nuakhai festival. However, many aware citizens question whether these actions are genuine efforts or just for show.
Upcoming Visit to Sambalpur
On December 15, the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Sambalpur. The next day, December 16, he will hear public grievances directly. He is also expected to attend various events in Sambalpur and Burla. Though the government has not officially announced his itinerary, it is considered finalized.

Frequent Engagements in the Region
The CM recently visited Sohela in Bargarh district on December 8 to kickstart the distribution of additional assistance for paddy procurement. On December 31, he will return to Bargarh to participate in a memorial event for Madhab Singh. He has also expressed interest in attending the famous Dhanu Yatra festival in Bargarh.
Previous Visits to Western Odisha
In earlier engagements, the CM stayed in Balangir for two days in November and was in Sambalpur during Nuakhai in September. He has often expressed his respect for the Sambalpuri language during these visits.
