8 Buses to Run from Odisha for Mahakumbh; OSRTC to Provide 50% Discount for Women along with Accommodation and Meals
The first phase of bus services for the Maha Kumbh Mela will see 8 buses departing from Odisha. This announcement was made by Lakshmikant Seth, the Additional Secretary of OSRTC. The buses will begin their journey on the 12th of this month, heading towards Ayodhya. The Additional Secretary said that they will arrange more buses if necessary to accommodate the demand.
Special Discount for Women
In a special move, women will receive a 50% discount on their bus fares. OSRTC will ensure all arrangements, including travel, accommodation, and food, for the women passengers.

Not Just for Maha Kumbh: Buses to Various Pilgrimage Sites
Besides serving the Maha Kumbh Mela, buses from Odisha will also operate to other major pilgrimage sites across the country. Odisha’s Transport Minister has shared the plans to facilitate travel to these religious destinations. The buses for the Maha Kumbh Mela will operate from four locations in Odisha: Bhubaneswar, Brahmapur, Bhawanipatna, and Sambalpur. Additionally, buses will be arranged to other pilgrimage spots as well.
Premium Bus Services for Ayodhya
In a recent update, OSRTC announced premium high-end bus services for travelers heading to Ayodhya for the Kumbh Mela. The buses will operate from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Brahmapur. Travelers can book their tickets via the OSRTC website or mobile app. A 24/7 helpline will also be available to assist passengers.
