In Kuchinda, a food safety team raided and fined Rs 10,000
Sambalpur: The Kuchinda police station area of Sambalpur district has been jointly raided by the Food Security Department and Kotpa. The joint team from Kuchinda police station Bhojpur, Botthama and Rengalbeda areas on Tuesday raided and collected fines of Rs 10,300. They fined Rs 6,000 from six shops for selling tobacco products within 100 yards of public places such as schools, bus stands and hospitals. In addition, 10 kg of contaminated food was destroyed.
District NCP Adviser Swagatika Behera, Food Security Officer Anju Ekka, Drops Inspector Satyanarayana Mallick, Abkari Inspector Fakir Dehuri, Kuchinda Police ASII Sarathi Kalet and other staff members were present. Rs 4,300 was recovered from 23 shops for violating the law.
