Sambalpur: The flyover, which has been made for the residents of Sambalpur from 7 years, has become a show piece instead of a major traffic route. Unexpectedly, the flyover was first constructed without any planning. No initiative were taken to complete it during its construction. The flyover was opened last year as a semi-delayed flyover. Even after that, flyovers are being closed arbitrarily without any reason.

The administration has closed both sides of the flyover since the riots on 12th April. In other words, the administration has closed the flyover due to the fear of creating chaos on this flyover or not being able to protect the people traveling on it. Even so, very few people are using the flyover.

Now they are facing problems due to its closure. As the flyover was not opened even after the situation normalized, people were upset on Sunday morning and partially opened the barricades on both sides. Traffic was moving on the flyover for a few hours. People have complained that the administration is sealing the flyover first. Police and district administration officials are blamed why the flyover has been closed for so long.
