AI Security Flaw: Matric English Paper Allegedly Leaked Before Exam
Despite advanced security measures such as artificial intelligence (AI), live systems, and CCTV cameras, the matriculation English question paper appears to have been leaked. Before the exam, the English question paper and answers were circulated on social media. Both the objective question paper answers and the subjective section translations, along with their answers, were allegedly leaked in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts before the exam.
While strict measures were in place at nodal and examination centers, the circumstances surrounding the leakage raised questions. Board authorities deny the incident, claiming it to be a prank intended to create confusion during the exam. The matriculation English exam was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m., however, the short English question paper went viral in Keonjhar at 8:36 a.m.
Over a hundred sensitive test centers received AI cameras, and live systems were in place at all nodal centers. CC cameras were also installed in all examination centers. The board had specified that question papers would reach examination centers before 7:30 am, and distribution to students would occur at 8:45 am in the presence of invigilators, center superintendents, and other teachers. However, the question paper and answers were circulated at 8:36 am, indicating a potential breach before the scheduled time.
Board President Shrikanta Tarai denied allegations of a leaked or viral English question paper, claiming that the exam went successfully on the second day. He indicated that the incident was staged to defame the board. Despite the denial, 42 individuals were reportedly caught cheating during the English exam.
