All Odisha Inter-School Karate Competition, Sambalpur winner

Sambalpur: Sambalpur has emerged the winner of the All-Odisha Inter-School Karate Competition. Jharsuguda SGP Rahul Jain and senior athlete Sundarmani Barik were the chief guests at the two-day event, which was held in Jharsuguda on Saturday and Sunday. More than 200 contestants from different districts took part in the competition. Sixteen players from Sambalpur Karate-DU School, under the supervision of head coach Suryakant Beriha, won the medals.

Barsha Sunia won two gold medals, while Ayush Pradhan, Soumya Meher and Laxmipriya Sanbad won one gold and one silver, Siddhi Panda, Subhadra Singh and Satyam Behera won one gold and one bronze. Bronze, Satyajit Mallick, Aryan Bagh, Sahil Behera, Ispreet Shatapathi and Lucky Majhi won one silver each and Subun Patnaik won one bronze. Tiku Bhoi and Gyaneshwar Mahakur joined as the team manager.
