Father Carried 2 km the dead body of young girl( reminiscent of Kalahandi’s Dan Majhi)
Nakti Deul / Redhakhol : The latest example of how health services have been rendered inaccessible to the inaccessible areas has been seen in the Nakti Deul area of Sambalpur district. A father had to carry the body of a young girl 2 km from the side of the road as the ambulance could not reach the damaged road. The heartbreaking incident in Kamalnali village is reminiscent of Kalahandi’s Dan Majhi. Mita Dehuri, the 7-year-old daughter of Sud Sahir Arjun Dehuri of the village, fell into an open well on her way home at around 7 pm on Monday evening when she saw Jahni Osha walking on the village street. When the daughter did not return, her parents searched for her. The baby was suspected to have fallen into the well. The baby was found in a well. But at the time, the baby was said to have no life.
