No interest in booster dose “9% of the first dose has been taken booster beneficiaries in the district

Sambalpur: Seeing the horror of the fourth wave of Corona in the entire state, the central government has announced to give Booster Dose for free. Earlier, this booster dose was given free of cost in government hospitals only to the above 60 years category. Others were allowed to take doses in private hospitals on payment of money.

But the government did not get the expected results. As people across the state showed no interest in taking booster doses, the infection continued to grow. Although the dose was given by this private hospital in Sambalpur district very late. But the same situation was seen in Sambalpur. Even in the private hospital, this dose was not found properly. People were seen standing in long queues and returning home many times without taking the dose. However, due to the increasing rate of infection, the central government decided to provide this dose for free.

Even after more than a hundred daily infections in Sambalpur district, people’s unwillingness to take booster doses has become a headache for the administration. Almost 50 percent of the health workers in the district have not taken the booster dose.
