Preparations are underway for the promotion of qualified officers from Inspector Cadre to DSP Cadre by the Police Headquarters
There are about 40 DSP vacancies in the state. Eligible officers will now be promoted from Inspector General to DSP to fill the vacancy. Preparations are underway by the police headquarters. A list of nominees has been compiled from the Grade 4 List of Inspectors as per the terms and conditions for promotion to the DSP. The list includes 237 inspectors. But more than half of the inspectors from the list are not eligible for promotion, a senior official said.
According to reports, more than a hundred inspectors have been spotted on the CCI list of 235 inspectors. On the 1st of last month, the IG wrote a letter to the Director General of Police Personnel, Additional Chief of Staff, Vigilance and Vigilance on behalf of the Police Headquarters for service record checks and CCI checks. From the day he was appointed to the Inspector General, he has prepared a PDF file on the current status of the CI and how many credentials and penalties he has received over the past five years.
A senior official said the transparency in the preparation of eligible promotional lists could be maintained by complicating the CCR and service records of officers in the online system. Notably, the nomination list for the DS4P promotion is based on the grading list of the inspectors. But many of the inspectors at the top of the list have been tarnished by the tradition. On the other hand, some of the tainted inspectors’ bureaucrats have been gradually promoted and are now reported to be working in additional SDP posts. But inspectors involved in vigilance and other scams have long been disqualified for promotion. Some inspectors have four more working hours Even though they have been there for five years, they are not expected to be promoted. For the past five years, more than 50 inspectors have been nominated for the DSP promotion nomination.
