Sambalpur: 100-Meter Budharaja Roadside Drain Project Stalls, Residents Suffer

Sambalpur: It has been 15 days since the partially constructed drain in the Budharaja area, causing inconvenience to the local residents. The incomplete drain, which spans a 100-meter area from Budharaja UCO Bank to State Bank ATM, has restricted the movement of people in the affected zone. Residents are unable to access the road from their houses, leading to difficulties for children, students, women, and the elderly. Shopkeepers and customers are also facing challenges, affecting sales and hindering bank visits.

The situation worsens at night, posing a potential danger with exposed iron rods. Despite repeated requests from concerned residents, the departmental personnel in charge of the construction has failed to solve the problem, keeping the drain in a dangerous condition for half a month. The community is urging the district administration and Metropolitan Corporation officials to intervene and safeguard the safety and convenience of the affected residents.
